Tim Sullivan was recently elected to a two-year term on the Executive Council of the Trial Lawyers Section of the Florida Bar. The essential purposes of the trial lawyers section are threefold: to assist the courts in improving the administration of justice; to promote the art of advocacy; and to preserve and protect the jury system. The Trial Lawyers Section has over 9000 members and includes plaintiff and defense lawyers as well as prosecutors. The Executive Council coordinates the many activities of the section which include seminars and mock trial competition's between the law schools in the state of Florida. In addition, the Executive Council takes legislative positions and actively lobbies on behalf of the Section on issues concerning the administration of justice.
